The Vermont Dairy Goat Association was looking for a professional-looking site that they could maintain themselves to market their group and its activities. We decided on WordPress as the platform for their site because it has all the tools the average user needs to manage their own site and is easy to customize and extend. We were able to design a template that the Goat enthusiasts liked. After that, we installed WordPress and the custom template, as well as all the plug-ins they wanted (a photo gallery, calendar, and a forum). Within a short time, the VDGA were up and running with their new site. We haven’t heard from them since — they do all their updates themselves so they don’t need to call us for every little thing.
